Outlawed Militants Martyred Two Security Officials in Peshawar

PESHAWAR – Security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) came under attack once again resulted in two casualties as a planted bomb detonated on Warsak Road in provincial capital.

According to the latest updates, two security personals lost lives and two received injuries during the sad incident on Friday.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) Shakir Bangash the target of the terrorist act was a security forces’ vehicle on regular patrolling in the area. He also confirmed that it was a planted bomb on a motorbike and detonated by the miscreants using remote sensing device. He added that four to five kilograms of explosive material was used in the blast, police sources said.

Security and rescue teams reached the blast site and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital.

Pakistan Armed Forces are engaged in the two major military offensives against the outlawed militants in Federally Administered Tribal Areas FATA). The Operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and Operation Khyber-1 in Khyber Agency.
