NEW YORK – Applications are invited for the Facebook fellowship program which would be available to US and international students for a full-time PhD-accredited doctoral program focusing on a topic or field relevant to Facebook.
Up to 12 academic fellowships will be awarded for two years.
Each Facebook fellowship includes several benefits like tuition and fees for the academic year(s) as well as $37,000 yearly grant, a paid visit to Facebook headquarters to present your research and an opportunity for paid internship with the company.
The application deadline is January 5, 2015. Fellowships will be awarded in the fields relevant to Facebook such as: databases, human-computer interaction, economics and computation, networking and operating systems, programming languages, security, privacy and software engineering.
This programme is open to individuals who are enrolled full-time, as defined by the individual’s university, and in good standing at an appropriately accredited doctoral programme focusing on a topic or field.
The application material includes research summary which identifies the area of focus and applicability of anticipated research to Facebook and two email contacts for a letter of recommendation.
