ISLAMABAD – In line with the directives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Saudi Arabia , visa processing company Etimad (Private) Limited, has started the biometric services in the country for visa applicants to Saudi Arabia from 23rd October 2014.
Biometric enrollment for visa applicants from across the world to Saudi Arabia has been made mandatory by the Kingdom as part of streamlining visa issuance procedures and Etimad’s mandate is to roll out these services in Pakistan.
“We are pleased to be fulfilling the role assigned to us by the Saudi MoFA, which in turn will facilitate a smooth and streamlined visa application process for travelers to the Kingdom. At Etimad, as a trusted intermediary between the Saudi Government and visa applicants to Saudi Arabia, we are committed to provide efficient and best-in-class services,” Etimad spokesperson said in a statement.
Biometric registration is a simple identity management procedure deployed to significantly ease travel hassles while entering Saudi Arabia reducing waiting time at border points and facilitating smooth and seamless entry. The procedure brings peace of mind to a traveler to Saudi Arabia since advance identity and profile capture done at the country of origin mean smooth passage at immigration points in Saudi Arabia.
Biometric procedure only involves collecting finger prints and photo capture which will be done by Etimad at its centers in Pakistan.
Etimad is a 100 per cent Pakistani company with six offices across the country bringing convenience to visa applicants from Pakistan. The company operates six Visa Services Centers in Pakistan, located in Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar and Quetta, as well as two centers in Karachi.
As a specialist partner for diplomatic missions, Etimad takes care of all the administrative and non-judgmental tasks related to the entire lifecycle of a visa application process, as mandated by (MoFA), Saudi Arabia.
The company started visa services for citizens and residents in Pakistan for all categories except Hajj, Umrah and Working November, 2013. In the case of biometry, Etimad has been mandated by MoFA to offer biometric enrollment services in Pakistan, including those for Hajj, Umrah and Work travelers.
