NEW YORK – Nokia surprise the world with a brand new device, it’s a 7.9-inch tablet called the N1 and it could put Nokia firmly back on the tech map.
The N1 will land in your hand with a fast processor, Gorila Glass HD screen and 32GB of memory.
There’s also an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and 5-megapixel selfie snapper, plus you get a monster battery which should bring over 10 hours of usage.
Styling is almost identical to Apple’s iPad mini but the price certainly isn’t – the N1 will land in your hand for around $249, which is almost half the price of Apple’s device.
Nokia are also keen to announce their new Z launcher technology.
This feature allows users to scribble a letter or two to find their content quickly.
Over time the Z Launcher learns what applications are in use, and predicts and highlights the applications consumers are expected to want based on time of day and location.
