RAWALPINDI – Cracks have appeared in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Rawalpindi after appointment of Ijaz Khan as acting president of PTI Rawalpindi by Chairman PTI , who is considered as a close associate to Sheikh Rasheed.
Office-bearers refuse to accept Ijaz Khan as President of PTI Rawalpindi and termed decision a violation of party rules.
Ijaz khan who contest the 2002 election with the symbol of moon in Shiekh Rasheed, appointed as acting president of PTI Rawalpindi after the suspension of 10 office-bearers including Arif Abbasi for beating Imran Khan cousin Ahmed Niazi at sit-in outside parliament House.
On the other side secretary general PTI Punjab north Hina Manzoor appointed Iqbal Niazi as the acting presiden Punjab north and Chaudry Zubair as district president in a meeting held on Monday.
She made it clear that the party would not accept any appointments made in violation of the constitution. She also issued a press release about the decisions taken during the meeting.
Ijaz Khan announced a meeting to chalk out a plan for mobilizing people for November 30 political gathering in Islamabad but only three prominent leaders attend the meeting.
