RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Army has added another honor to its ranks by equating Shaheen A I ballistic missile – capable of carrying nuclear and conventional warheads in range of 900 Kilometers.
According to Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR) the launch was witnessed by Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah, Director General Strategic Plans Division Lieutenant General Zubair Mahmood Hayat and senior officers.
Missile’s impact point was in Arabian Sea. Shaheen I-A estimated capacity of load is 1,000 kilograms. It is the most accurate missile among all missile system due to highly developed guidance system.
Pakistan conducted ballistic missiles tests just after Indian nuclear capable cruise missile K-5, and Agni-2 nuclear capable ballistic missiles.
On 13 November Pakistan also conducted successfully training launch of Shaheen II (Hatf-VI) ballistic missile.
Successful test was appreciated by President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif congratulated the participating troops and the scientists and engineers.
Missiles tests were conducted from both sides on time when there was a hostile condition on Line of Control (LOC) and working boundaries.
