ISLAMABAD – Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has maintained that if the anti-terrorism court decides for his arrest then he would obey the decision.
While addressing to Dharna (set-in) Imran Khan told that anti-terrorism court’s decision declared me as a dangerous man.
He said further “anti-terrorism court also declared me a proclaimed offender today, which is why I should go to jail as per the decision of the court.”
“It was beyond my understanding that why PTI leaders were proclaimed as offenders. PTI workers did not and would not damage public property at any cost, and my speech is also on record,” he added.
Khan also said that weak judicial system was not ready to issue arrest warrant for cruel rulers but Adeel, a PTI supporter and a President of Dera Ghazi Khan, remained in Adiala Jail for over 27 days now being charged for attacking PTV.
The PTI chief warned the PML-N government to fulfill his party’s demands by November 30, he concludes.
The arrest warrants issued on the request of police department, in connection with the attack on the Pakistan Television (PTV) building and the parliament.
The accused are wanted by the police for attacking the Pakistan Television building and the parliament building as well as assaulting police officers. Cases against them have been registered at the Secretariat police station.
Besides Imran Khan, Tahir ul Qadri and Sheikh Rasheed, arrest warrants were also issued for Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtukhwa Parvez Khatak, PTI Central President Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Asad Umar and PAT’s Raheeq Abbasi.
It is notable that in a secret report, all intelligence agencies, including Intelligence Bureau (IB), have warned federal government that Imran Khan and other political leaders might add a violence in the protests after November 30. Just to remind that Imran Khan gave the call that after November 30 he would not be able to control masses from protesting at their will.
