Tahir ul Qadri Reminds Army Chief General Raheel Sharif of his Words

PAT's Assets in Pakistan

LAHORE – The supremo of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Tahir ul Qadri has reminded Army Chief General Raheel Sharif of his words while demanding to form Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to investigate Model Town killings in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Qadri was addressing to his party workers in Lahore through a video link from Canada.

He said “We demand from you General Raheel Sharif that consider for what you have called us in Rawalpindi. It was you who called us. We never went there on our own.”

Qadri also rejected the formation of JIT that includes Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) officials as well. He said “We do not accept any JIT in Punjab. Nor we will accept it in Balochistan. Both province have N’s government. We will only accept any such JIT in KP.”

It was only on November 13, that Punjab government has announced a second JIT to investigate the incidence of Model Town.

PakistanTribe‘s correspondent learnt from one source – television personality believed to have close ties with military establishment – that PML-N’s government used the influence of Army Chief to settle the issue of Model Town’s police case with PAT and Tahirul Qadri.
