BHAWANA – The Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has been received by angry protesters and and chants of Go-Nawaz-Go as he arrived for distribution of monetary relief among flood victims.
According to the correspondent reports, Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Tehsil Bhawana of Chiniot on Friday morning. It is a locality in Punjab at the bank of river Chenab. The place was devastated during the recent floods in summers 2014.
Correspondent reports also confirmed that Shahbaz Sharif arrived at the venue with a delay. He delivered a brief speech, distributed relief in selective beneficiaries and then moved out from the venue – a surrounded compound. However, when he was leaving the venue, angry protesters tried to stop his squad and car.
Angry protesters chanted slogans of Go-Nawaz-Go and demanded relief for themselves and families.
Police officials, however, managed to safely take out the squad of Shahbaz Sharif by pushing away the angry villagers.
