KARACHI – The Government of Sindh has secured the its captain from appearing before the assembly time and again to answer questions and appointed Syed Murad Ali Shah as Provincial Finance Minister.
The former finance adviser to Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah – Murad Ali Shah – was elected unopposed from PS-73 Jamshoro in by-election after seat fell vacant.
PS-73 was vacated by Syed Abdul Nabi Shah who resigned as a member of the Sindh Assembly citing personal reasons. Murad Shah is believed to take the oath from Governor Sindh Dr Ishraul Ebaad Khan tonight.
Few days ago, Syed Khurshid Shah, opposition leader in National Assembly, had hinted upon the new portfolio of Murad Shah. He maintained that Chief Minister has to face few difficulties to be available on Sindh Assembly’s floor for answering questions related to financial matters. Qaim Ali Shah was previously holding the portfolio of provincial finance minister as well.
