LAHORE – The police investigation revealed a horrible twits in the case of brutal murder of Christian that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s lawmaker Anees Qureshi was present when the couple was burnt in the village kiln.
According to televised reports the eye witnesses of this inhumane criminal act revealed the information to investigative officers.
Television reports, citing sources, maintained that PML-N’s lawmaker from the locality Anees Qureshi gathered people and arrive at the kiln after which the Christian couple was burnt in a half-conscious condition.
Eye witnesses also accused that they were facing huge pressure not to mention any high profile name.
Punjab Government’s spokesperson Zaeem Qadri, when contacted, said “Commenting over this matter would not be appropriate. Nothing is clear at the moment. Investigation is under way. Police was made the plaintiff in this case for the reason that no one could pressurize anyone.”
Around 50 villagers of Kot Radha Kishan have been arrested so far in connection with the murder.
Kasur District Police Officer (DPO) Jawad Qamar confirmed the arrests and said a local religious leader had fanned the issue. But the DPO did not disclose his name. PakistanTribe also learnt that local mosque’s loud speaker was used to gather mob for the brutal act.
The First Information Report (FIR) accounts the inhumane incident stating “Both Shama and Shahzad (Christian couple) were reduced to ashes in no time.”
It said that 60 accused nominated in the FIR, including the kiln owner and his staff, had incited the villagers to violence by managing announcements through loudspeakers of the mosques in Chak 59, Chak 60, Chak Rossa and Chak Bhail. The accused burnt the Christian couple alive, beat up police officials and fanned a mass hysteria.
