LAHORE – Another lawmaker of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) from Punjab has lost the membership of Punjab Assembly after his educational credentials appeared to be fake.
The concern Election Tribunal declared Hanif Jatt’s seat of PP-226 as vacant after finding he failed to proved the authenticity of his educational certificates.
Hanif Jatt’s educational credentials were challenged by his opponent Saqib Gujjar who contested from PP-226 as an independent candidate. Election Tribunal concluded the hearings and directed Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to hold by-polls on the constituency.
PP-226 is the Punjab Assembly’s constituency of Checha Watni, Tehsil Kuswal.
