KARACHI: Polio virus has been confirmed in another child but this time its not Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) or a part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).New case reported in Badin district of Pakistan’s southern province, Sindh.
Date related to the Polio in Pakistan show that the number of polio cases reported in the country so far this year has reached 238.
The Polio Virology Laboratory at the National Institute of Health has confirmed the case, sources in the Health Department said.
The highest number of 153 cases has been reported in Fata followed by 48 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 24 in Sindh, 10 in Balochistan and three in Punjab.
According to the country’s health indicators, every year polio cases in the country were increasing. Around 58 cases were reported in 2012, 93 in 2013 and 238 this year.
