ISLAMABAD – In a bid to facilitate people the government has announced to reduce the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) but also cut decides to cut the supply gas to CNG and industrial sector in Punjab for four months.
Both announcement were made simultaneously leaving people in amusement whether to applaud or criticize, as per described by one resident of Rawalpindi while speaking with PakistanTribe‘s correspondent.
According to the official sources, the government decided to stop the provision of gas to CNG and industrial sector in the Punjab and the federal capital for a period of four months from November 15 to March 15. The government made this decision in order to ensure gas supply to domestic consumers. Government has also given approval for gas load management plan for the winter season. However, gas supply will continue in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as usual.
Moreover, PakistanTribe also learnt that Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had initiated a major operation against LPG marketing companies for not lowering the per kilogram price despite reduction in international market.
