LAHORE – The Chief Minster of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has finally inducted more ministers in Punjab Government’s cabinet with more portfolios awarded to lawmakers from central Punjab Region.
According to the sources, Shahbaz Sharif has concluded the advisory procedure over expansion of Punjab governments on Monday.
Zaeem Qadri – former spokesperson of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) – would now hold the portfolio of Education Ministry. Moreover, Amanatullah, Khawaja Salman, Jamal Laghari and Aisha Ghaus would also be awarded with different portfolios.
Interestingly the former Law Minister of Punjab Rana Sanaullah had refused to hold any ministry until Model Town case was resolved. Sources revealed that Shahbaz Sharif wanted Rana Sanaullah to hold one key ministry. It is also worth mentioning here that Shahbaz Sharif himself asked Rana Sanaullah to resign after Model Town incident in which more than 20 workers of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) lost their lives due to shelling by Punjab Police.
