ISLAMABAD – The Federal Government has learnt a good lesson from on-going sit-ins in Red Zone of country’s capital as it prepared a suggested law to prevent any such happening in future.
According to the available information with PakistanTribe the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lead federal government has prepared a proposal for a law which once implemented would prevent any individual or group to stage protest near or inside sensitive buildings.
The proposed law suggests six months to one year jail term for violation. Government is preparing to move the proposed law on floor of the National Assembly in coming session. It is also worthy to mention here that the majority of the political parties in National Assembly including PML-N, PPP, ANP, JUI-F and PKMAP have showed reservation over the on-going sit-in inside the red zone.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) staged their Azadi March and Dharna in Islamabad from August 14 this year. Later, both parties shifted their protest inside the red zone which then earned loud criticism.
