Balochistan extends FC police authority for two months | PakistanTribeQUETTA – Balochistan government has extended Frontier Corps’ (FC) additional police-like powers for another two months in view of the poor law and order situation in the province, PakistanTribe.com reported.

According to Home Secretary of Balochistan Asad Gilani, few months ago, the provincial government rendered police-like authority to the Frontier Corps in Quetta to improve the law and order situation.

The police-like authority for the Frontier Corps ended on November 16 and the provincial Home Department mailed a summary to Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik for two months’ further extension and it was recommended in the summary that extension should be given to FC for additional police-like authority for two months more in view of the poor law and order situation in the province.

Balochistan Chief Minister approved the summary and extended additional powers of the Frontier Corps for two months till January 16.
