Express news office attacked in Karachi | PakistanTribeKARACHI – Unknown armed men attacked the Express News TV office at Karachi on Monday evening, reported.

No damage and casualty have been reported yet.

Shahzeb Khanzada, an anchor of current affair talk show of the Express News TV confirmed the incident.

Jahanzaib Haque, Editor of Express Tribune web-edition also confirms and tweeted that one security guard has been injured in the incident.

Firing has been taking place outside the Express News office in Karachi and at least two explosions which caused flashes of white light, reported Express Tribune.

“This is the second attack on the office in this year. In the first attack on the Karachi office, a woman and a guard were injured after unknown assailants opened fire.”

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) spokesperson Shireen Mazari condemned the incident and termed it “attack on free media”. She also questioned Sindh government’s removal of security from the media house.


 Express News reports that two are injured when the unidentified men tried to enter the building but were stopped by guards.

Earlier, A woman and a guard were injured when four unknown armed persons on motorcycles opened fire at the Express Media office on August 16, this year.
