Foodpanda, after receiving tremendous success with The Great Karachi Pizza Festival and The Great Fast Food Festival, is initiating a social media engagement to celebrate its success and to acknowledge the importance of equal food distribution.
World Food Day draws attention to concerns of food security arising from ever-growing population. foodpanda Pakistan will contribute to this philanthropic cause with an interactive social media campaign.
Pakistan’s hunger crisis has risen by 38% as compared to India in one period, says recent UN reports. foodpanda aims to raise awareness of this pressing issue by involving its fan base on the official Facebook page.
Customers will be asked to select one of the listed staple food items that they would choose, if they were requested to donate. All responses will be evaluated for their numbers and recorded accordingly. At the end of campaign, these goods will be purchased by foodpanda itself for donations to non-profit social welfare organizations in Pakistan.
