QUETTA – Known Pakistani lawyer and award-winning human rights worker, Asma Jahangir, has criticized the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf’s (PTI) chairman, Imran Khan, over his shifting stance on rigging allegations, PakistanTribe.com reported.
Jahangir while addressing to the news conference in Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan, has said that blaming a person when he is off-seat isn’t a good habit.
“Imran Khan blamed the former chief justice (CJ) for his involvement in elections rigging after his retirement, if the PTI chairman had shown his reservations while Ifitkhar Chaudhry was on the seat then Khan can be succeeded to get more public support which he is losing in current scenario.
In the past Khan formed the serious allegation against former CJ but during his appearance in the court he had changed his earlier stance and alleged returning officers (ROs) for the rigging in May 13, general elections, said Jahangir.
“Imran Khan should prove his allegations as blaming any one isn’t a new thing in Pakistan’s political culture.
