LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has said that government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is determined to cope with the challenges and progressing ahead through joint efforts and thinking for steering the nation and the country out of the problems.
Senior leader of the PML-N from the Sindh, Mumtaz Bhutto held meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif in Lahore on Saturday.
Both the leaders exchanged views regarding the political situation of the country and the administrative matters of the PML-N.
Shahbaz Sharif said that national institutions destroyed due to incompetence, negligence and corruption of the former rulers.
He said that government of the PML-N is forwarding with renewed spirit for re-construction of the country and it is hoped that the challenges would be overcome under the leadership of Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif.
On the occasion, Mumtaz Bhutto said that Shahbaz Sharif is speedily completing the developmental projects in the Punjab in transparent manner and progress of the Punjab province is role model for the other provinces.
Meanwhile, while having meeting with the special representative of the British institution for international development, Sir Michel Barber, in Lahore on Saturday, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that positive results of Punjab school reforms roadmap emerged.
Shahbaz Sharif said that progress of education is inevitable for progress and prosperity and Punjab government is following comprehensive policy for promoting standard education in the province.
He said that billions of rupees allocated in the current year for the educational sector. He said that equipping the youths with the education is not the expenditure but the investment for brightening the future of the new generation.
On the occasion, Michel Barber said that Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif taking extraordinary steps for promoting education in the province.
