QUETTA – The son of former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has been appointed as the Vice Chairman of Balochistan’s investment board which would be headed by the Chief Minister Abdul Malik Baloch himself.
According to the latest news Arsalan Iftikhar was appointed the higher up of investment board on Saturday.
Arsalan Iftikhar rose to popularity in 2012 when Bahria Town’s owner Malik Riaz accused him of receiving massive kick backs, perks, bribes and favors allegedly for rolling the judicial orders in his favor.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that at that time Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry (then chief justice) refused to acknowledge that what kind of business his son was involved in.
Later, even after a high level judicial inquiry, Malik Riaz and Arsalan Iftikhar both walked free of charges of all sort.
