ISLAMABAD – The leader of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has presented a different version about Lahore debacle in which until recently 12 people have lost their lives according to which it was a conspiracy against government.
The Leader of the Opposition Syed Khurshid Shah was speaking speaking in the National Assembly on Thursday when he termed the killings of Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) workers in Lahore was a conspiracy to sabotage the government’s bold decision of military action in North Waziristan Agency (NWA).
Speaking on a Point of Order in the National Assembly, he said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would continue the support for the government.
He said “The government needs opposition’s support right now. Let Tahir-ul-Qadri be allowed to hold rallies as it’s beauty of democracy.”
He said the situation in Lahore was not handled properly. “There was no need to remove barricades at a time when country badly needs reconciliation due to North Waziristan Agency operation”, he added.
