LAHORE – The Punjab Police has downplayed their own registered case against son of Tahirul Qadri and declared him innocent after nominating him the prime accused along with 3,000 other Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers.
The withdrawal came on Thursday when Punjab Police took back the charge against Hussain Mohiyuddin.
Yesterday, PakistanTribe reported that Hussain was nominated in First Information Report (FIR) at Faisal Town police station.
The complaint was filed by one Station Head Officer (SHO) Rizwan Qadir Hashmi according to which Hussain along with his 3,000 party workers were involved in the brawl, scuffle, disturbance of peace, murder and attempt to murder.
Other accused include the PAT General Secretary Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Chief Security Officer Altaf Hussain Shah and other office-bearers of the party. Eight unidentified gunmen and 3,000-plus activists of the PAT have also been nominated in the FIR.
