LAHORE – The Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has vows not to rest until those responsible for the deaths of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers brought to the justice.
Shahbaz Sharif held the press conference on Tuesday when at least eight PAT workers including two women lost their lives amid clashes with police.
Shahbaz Sharif ordered a judicial inquiry and requested to conclude the case on priority basis.
“I am sorry over this tragic incident. I also express my condolences with Dr Tahirul Qadri. I will not rest until those responsible for this incident brought to justice,” he added.
Earlier, Tahirul Qadri issued a statement from Canada in which he vowed to take revenge from the Punjab and Federal government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). “Case will be registered against Shahbaz Sharif, Nawaz Sharif and their cabinet,” he said.
Moreover, Shahbaz Sharif maintained that if commission would held him responsible then he would resign from the post.
