ISLAMABAD – The Lahore High Court (LHC)’s top judge who lashed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan for dishonoring the sanctity of the court has now become Supreme Court’s judge.

According to the correspondent reports, the oath taking ceremony of Justice Umar Ata Bandial took place on Tuesday in Supreme Court building.

Chief Justice, Justice Tassadiq Hussain Jilani administered the oath from newly inducted judge. The ceremony was attended by senior lawyers and honorable Supreme Court judges.

The strength of apex court judges has risen to 17 after Justice Bandial’s swearing in today.

Justice Bandial came in limelight when on May 7 he lashed Imran Khan and his lawyer for dishonoring the court room’s sanctity as Insafiyans loaded the court room when Imran Khan came to attend a hearing.
