PAT Qadri Lahore

LAHORE – The chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr Tahirul Qadri has threatened to that people would take revenge from family monarchs of Punjab (Sharif Family) as reportedly five workers died during the police operation.

Qadri was speaking to media on Tuesday in reference to a late night operation in Lahore’s model town area by Punjab Police.

According to Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, the operation was conducted in order to remove the ‘no-go-area’ maintained by the PAT and Qadri in the name of religious seminary.

However, Qadri said that it was a revenge and result of fear as he had announced to stage huge demonstration against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lead Punjab and Federal Government.

He also maintained that his party workers were attacked in the darkness of night around 2 am. He said that PAT secretariat had delivered some unconfirmed reports of four casualties.

Moreover, the media reports suggest that until 12 pm at least 46 workers of PAT sustained injuries and 17 police personnel got injured in the scuffle.

The police claimed that local people had complained of troubles caused by the barricaded road.

The PAT workers bunt tyres on roads and pelted police mobiles with stones. As the sun rose, heavy contingent of police entered the area and captured dozens of workers involved in rioting.
