ISLAMABAD – First ever National Islamic Advisory group grand gathering has been happening in the capital with core agenda is to remove barriers in people’s mind about polio vaccination.Reports are there that Imam e Kaaba, the most sacred place for the Muslims around the globe, will also attend the meeting to approve the polio vaccination in the country.
Some certain areas and tribal people oppose the idea of vaccination saying they cause some malfunctioning in the hormones of children.
“Polio eradication campaign can be made result oriented with the support and guidance of Ulema,” Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar said.
She was addressing the first consultation meeting of National Islamic Advisory group in Islamabad.
The female minister urged National Islamic Advisory Group members to eliminate concerns of these circles.
