PESHAWAR – The chief of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Sirajul Haq, who is also the provincial finance minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa (KPK), all set to achieve peace with only four per cent increase in the police’s budget.
Sirajul Haq revealed on Thursday that KPK’s police budget for the fiscal year 2014-15 would be increased four percent.
Haq also vowed at this occasion that law and order would be maintained and peace would be achieved in the province.
Its pertinent to mention here that KPK Police is already facing a weapon fraud probe. The case has been booked against the former high ranks officers of KPK police who were allegedly involved in corruption.
Its pertinent to mention here that Sirajul Haq, like his predecessor Syed Munawar Hasan, believe in achieving peace with outlawed Taliban through dialogue process.
