Court Order gives Pervez Musharraf wings to fly abroad

Musharraf 11

KARACHI – The Sindh High Court (SHC) has ordered to remove the name of former President General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf from Exit Control List (ECL) making him a free man to fly abroad.

According to the court decision on Thursday, Musharraf is a free man to visit his ailing mother or get medical treatment from anywhere in the world.

However, SHC also maintained that the federal government could challenge the decision in Supreme Court within fifteen days.

A legal expert, while speaking to PakistanTribe, said that Musharraf cannot go abroad until fifteen days as its the time period in which federal government can challenge the decision. However, after that period, no one would be able to stop him legally, he added.

Sindh High Court’s judges Justice Azhar and Justice Shahnawaz was hearing the case.

Pervez Musharraf moved to Karachi on April 19 where he was staying at his daughter’s home and availing medical facilities at PNS Shifa of Pakistan Navy.

PakistanTribe reported that Nawaz Sharif only wanted his face saving in the pertaining issue. According to a seniorjournalist and media personality ‘Javed Chaudhry’ that middle way would be removing Musharraf’s name from ECL through a court order.
