‘US holds no doubt on Pakistan’s nuclear security’

WASHINGTON – The US has reaffirmed that there was no reason to believe that Pakistan’s nuclear assets are insecure after deadly attacks on Karachi Airport.

The spokesperson of US State Department Marie Harf maintained that Pakistani Government understands the importance of protecting all of its arsenal including things related to its nuclear program.

In a scheduled briefing, replying to a question, she said “We know that they care about this a great deal and have no reason at this point to think it’s anything but safe she added when asked about the US views on safety of Pakistani nuclear weapons.”

She also said that “We support Pakistan’s efforts to bring all those involved in planning and executing this attack to justice.”
