PESHAWAR – The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has also accepted the responsibility of Airport Security Force (ASF) Camp attack carried out today noon, reports confirmed. However, the high-ups of ASF, Sindh Police and Rangers denied that there was an attack at all.
According to the reports from some national media outlets, the spokesperson of outlawed TTP Shahidullah Shahid had accepted the responsibility of attack on ASF camp.
But interestingly, the Sindh Police, ASF Director General and Sector Commander of Sindh Rangers stood side by side in front of ASF camp and lashed media for creating the hype.
“There was absolutely no attack. It was only an incident of firing. Only two bullets were fired from the Pehalwan Goth area. It was media who reached here and created the menace. What message you guys were trying to send nationally and internationally? Please make some sense,” one Colonel of Sindh Rangers told the reporters.
The DG ASF also said that it was not the attack. “Media should show some responsibility while choosing the language of reporting,” he added.
However, the TTP spokesperson never wasted a minute to accept the responsibility of attack which according to security forces never happened.
Its pertinent to mention here that Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa also confirmed the attack on ASF attack in a tweet:
