Karachi Airport Underattack: ‘Senior journalists’ show remarkable irresponsibility

Karachi Airport

KARACHI – In one of the toughest times Pakistan security forces facing as gorilla-style terrorist attacked Karachi airport, some ‘senior journalists’ completely lost the sense of responsibility and continued giving out every minor details.

The unknown number of terrorists, equipped with high-tech weapons, attacked Karachi Airport around midnight between Sunday and Monday.

Preliminary media reports suggest that at least five Airport Security Force (ASF)’s soldiers embraced martyrdom while fighting terrorists.

However, the much bigger disaster was the attitude of conventional Pakistani media houses and senior journalists as they kept informing the already terrified audience about the minor details of horrific incident.

Some senior journalists kept tweeting the details while others gave live beepers to tell which forces have been deployed and under whose orders.

The similar irresponsible attitude was demonstrated by the robust ‘free’ media in Pakistan in October 2009 when General Headquarters of Pakistan Army came under attack by the terrorists.

PakistanTribe will give the detail analysis and reports on this tragic incident in few hours. Keep visiting www.pakistantribe.com

Names of media houses and journalists kept anonymous on purpose. But viewers can search them online themselves.
