LONDON – The first directive of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s supremo Altaf Hussain after release on bail was to end all sit-ins in Pakistan.
Altaf Hussain delivered the iconic telephonic address from London on Saturday morning in which he spoke with emotional MQm workers.
Addressing the sit-in participants by telephone from London’s International Secretariat after his release from Southwark police station, he said a change is imminent in Pakistan when the poor will rule the country, adding the revolution is the destination of Pakistan in near future when every corrupt political system will crumble down.
On the occasion, he thanked political and religious parties and their leaders including former President and co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari, Sindh governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ebad, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) founder Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, who extended cooperation to the MQM in these crucial moments. Altaf Hussain said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif played a highly positive role.
Altaf Hussain asserted all allegations leveled against him, will be proved wrong.
The Muttahida chief remarked that his party is ready to give 300,000 volunteers to Pakistan’s armed forces for the security of motherland. He also announced to forgive and restore all suspended office-bearers of his party.
Having started his speech with recitation of the holy Quran from two places, Altaf Hussain said he will continue to say the truth and can even lay down his life for the purpose, as those who say the truth, never face any loss.
Displaying his usual jolly self, he appealed to the workers to pray to Allah to make him young and energetic Altaf Hussain of the APMSO.
Meantime, following the announcement of his release from the police custody, the sit-in participants burst into loud festivities with full-throated slogans and blaring party songs. The sweets in huge quantities, were distributed among the participants.
