Lahore-Karachi road travel to shrink down to 10 hours

ISLAMABAD – The road distance from Lahore to Karachi will be covered in only 10 hours on an average speed of 120 kilometers per hour as National Highway Authority (NHA) all set to build 1,152 km long Karachi-Lahore (KLM).

According to an official tender notice on Thursday by NHA, national and international firms are invited to express interest to build two patches of KLM.

The advertisement stated that two patches will be built, first: Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway (296 km) and second: Khanewal-Lahore Motorway (276 km).

On May 30, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has announced that to allocate Rs 55 billion for the purpose of land accusation in the year 2014. he also dubbed the project to become the backbone of trade in Pakistan.
