ABBOTTABAD – After a huge campaigning and at least two visits of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s chief Imran Khan, the Insafiyans all set to lock horns with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in PK-45 by-polls.
The polling in the constituency has been initiated at 109 polling stations on Thursday fro 8 am to 5 pm.
PK-45 Abbottabad II was vacated by the present Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa (KPK) for taking charge of Governor House.
Analysts have predicted a very tough competition between Sardar Fareed Ahmed of PML-N and Ali Asghar of PTI.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) declared 36 polling stations as sensitive our of 109 in PK-45 constituency. The strict security arrangements were made in the constituency and at least 1,300 personnel of police, Elite Force and Frontier Corps (FC) were deployed on the occasion to provide security to the voters.
