KARACHI – The leaders of Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) have demanded from the Pakistan federal government to seek the guarantee from UK’s officials that their supremo Altaf Hussain would be treated fairly.
After almost 24 hours of Altaf Hussain’s arrest in London, Dr Farooq Sattar of MQM put forward the demands for the government of Pakistan.
“Workers of MQM will not call off the sit-in until the government of Pakistan would not seek guarantee from the UK counterparts for the Altaf Hussain. We want that his medical checkup should be conducted without any delay. He should be provided all required legal assistance. We also demand that he must not be unnecessarily annoyed,” Sattar added.
Replying to a question, MQM leader said “Its not true that bail application of Altaf Hussain has been turned down”.
