Budget Day Security Failure: Unknown gunmen injure two policemen in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD – A shocking incident of firing in the heart of federal capital has injured at least two Elite Force’s men as unidentified motor-bikers attacked mobile van.

According to the preliminary reports the unknown bikers fired bullets at Elite Force’s mobile on Tuesday’s morning around 11:20 am in Abpara Area of Islamabad.

Bikers easily fled the scene after injuring two policemen. Rescue officials immediately shifted the wounded to Poly Clinic Hospital.

Police sources confirmed to PakistanTribe that wounded Elite Force’s men were part of the 200 policemen called from the Rawalpindi to oversee the enhanced security measures in Islamabad on the federal budget day.

Police sources also said that mobile van was not following the bikers rather miscreants came out of nowhere and fired at the van.

Its pertinent to mention here that Abpara is the heart of Islamabad and its surroundings include many sensitive buildings. The top most sensitive building in the area is the office of premier spy agency.
