GUJRANWALA – Slamming the protest plans of Dr Tahirul Qadri and Imran Khan, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has termed their actions against the development and progress of the country.
Nawaz, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Nandipur Power Project, said that instead of agitations they should join hands with us to make Pakistan prosperous.
The premier counted his government’s achievement in infrastructure, electric generation and maintaining law and order situation. He said “We have initiated many electricity projects and completed them like never before. We have been trying to curb the menace of terrorism. We are laying down motorways all over the country. Is this is what they are protesting for?”
He went ahead and said “Pakistan has witnessed a lot in past 65 years. Lets not repeat the same old politics again. Someone from the Canada is calling to protest. Others are meeting in London. Lets end it now.”
Earlier, Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the first phase of Nandpur Power project which now shares 95 MW of electricity in the national grid.
