RAWALPINDI – The lawmaker of Punjab Assembly belonging to the ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has been mysteriously kidnapped on road and later abductors demanded Rs 50 million ransom.
According to the preliminary reports, the member of Punjab Assembly from PP-174 Rana Jamil Hasan went missing on Saturday when he was enroute to Islamabad from Nankana Sahib.
Police sources confirmed that he was being kidnapped from Pindi Bhattiyan and kidnappers left his wife on a petrol pump.
Although police has launched a full scale investigation into the abduction of Rana Jamil, the Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif had asked Inspector General (IG) Police to submit an inquiry report as soon as possible.
It was not clear who was behind the kidnapping of the PML-N MPA who was not flanked by any security detail at the time of the abduction.
