KARACHI – The Sindh High Court (SHC) has reserved the verdict on removing the name of former President General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf from Exit Control List (ECL) and will be announced on Saturday.
According to the details by court correspondent SHC judges Justice Azhar and Justice Shahnawaz was hearing the case on Thursday when they reserved the judgment.
Earlier, the attorney general of Pakistan Salman Butt presented the federal government’s stance that they cannot risk allowing Musharraf to travel abroad amid high value cases against him.
However, Barrister Farogh Naseem maintained that doctors have recommended backbone surgery to Musharraf and he needs immediate medical assistance abroad.
Later, talking to media representatives outside the court, Naseem said that all cases against Pervez Musharraf were politically motivated and baseless.
