Law enforces turn back catastrophe by defusing bomb near Bari Imam shrine

ISLAMABAD – The federal capital was saved from a disaster and possible loss of lives when a 2.5 kilo grams of explosive device was recovered from near a shrine.

According to the details by correspondents, police have been informed over telephone about the presence of explosives in Bari Imam’s building.

Police reached a site and summoned the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) who successfully defused the bomb.

Police said the bomb was planted to carry out terrorism activity, however it could not go off. Moreover, the intelligence agencies have kept the device in their possession.

Its pertinent to mention here that on every Thursday the most of the shrines witness more than usual crowd.

The previous twin blasts in Islamabad detonated on May 24 at busiest commercial centers. On April 9, vegetable market blast killed at least 23 people.
