LAHORE – The female lawmaker of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has slapped Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s member of Punjab Assembly who was shouting anti-Indian slogans on the floor of the house.
The uproar in the Punjab Assembly was witnessed on Wednesday when opposition party of PTI staged demonstration inside the hall.
Details revealed that the PTI legislator Asif Mehmood was shouting slogans against India with reference to a meeting of prime ministers of both the countries yesterday. Reacting to the PTI MPA’s shouting, Salma Butt of the PML-N indulged in altercation with Mehmood and exchange of harsh words ensued.
In the meanwhile, Salma Butt slapped PTI lawmaker on the face, drawing wrath of opposition MPAs. Salma Butt also shoved PTI opposition leader Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed.
Ruling party members were also calling Imran Khan as ‘Taliban Khan’ during the protest.
PTI lawmaker, while talking to media, regretted the incident and said speaker must take action against the PML-N MPA for her disapproving attitude.
