6 children among 14 die in train- rickshaw, Bus-rickshaw collusions in Sehwan, Gujranwala | PakistanTribeSEHWAN/GUJRANWALA – At least 14 people including six  school-going children lost their lives in two separate traffic accidents took place near Sehwan Sharif and Gujranwala cities on Tuesday morning.

Police and rescue officials said the first incident occurred near Bhan Saeedabad town of Sehwan district where train hit a rickshaw on a railway crossing.

In a horrible accident that occurred in Dadu when a rickshaw and train collision left nine dead and several others injured.

According to details, a rickshaw carrying school children was on its way when the driver attempted to traverse an unmanned railway crossing without seeing fast approaching Khushhal Khan Khattack near village Balu Lashari in Dadu.

Police officer told that the rickshaw got stuck on the tracks, and the speeding train crashed into it.

As a result of dreadful collision, six children died on the spot and several others sustained injuries. The injured were shifted to hospital in critical condition where five more succumbed to their injuries, raising the toll to nine.

The bodies were handed over to the heirs after autopsy. The victims were aged between five and fifteen years. The killed include Salim Rind, Shahid Lashari, Sachal Lashari, Khalid Lashari, Azhar, Babar and Ishtiaq.

Meanwhile the second incident was reported near Gujranwala town of Punjab where a fast-moving passenger bus collided with a rickshaw, killing all five people onboard. Rescue teams said a woman was also among the deceased. The accident took place near the village Nizam in Gujranwala. The killed include Razia, Aaish Muhammad, Zulfiqar, and Salim. The driver of the bus fled away from the scene after the accident.
