No electricity for half of Karachi as 11 grid stations get tripped

KARACHI – Half of metropolis experiencing the worst power breakdown as due to a technical fault almost eleven grid stations stopped functioning.

According to the details provided by PakistanTribe‘s correspondent, eleven grid stations stopped working on Monday’s morning due to a circuit trip.

The result of circuit trip had caused power outage in more than half of the city, one source of Karachi Electricity Supply Company (KESC) otherwise known as K-Electric said.

Domestic consumers along with hospitals are facing problems due to power outages in most parts of the provincial capital.

The heat wave in the metropolis is further creating problems for the citizens as mercury rises to 34+ degree Celsius. Moreover, the power outages had created the shortfall and scarcity of drinking water in the city of over 20 million.
