PESHAWAR – The offensive against outlawed militants of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has started taking its toll as now at least six security personnel martyred in a landmine blast in tribal areas.
According to the details gathered by political administration of Mohmand Agency and other sources from the area, at least six soldiers embraced martyrdom when a military vehicle hit a landmine in Pandyali area of the agency.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a statement condemned the incident.
Its pertinent to mention here that a military operation is currently underway in North Waziristan which until Friday had caused 71 deaths in lines of outlawed Taliban. The decision to lodge air strike in North Waziristan of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) was approved by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif as he chaired NSC on May 20 in Islamabad. However, the details of the decisions related to North Waziristan’s strike was revealed only later.
