PTI Police

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers once again scuffled with Islamabad police when tried to enter the red zone for the protest in front of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against the alleged polls rigging.

According to the live details from the ground zero, the PTI workers were lead by Shireen Mazari and other members of national assembly when they marched towards the ECP on Thursday.

PTI had announced the protests on every Friday and firstĀ of its episode was initiated on May 16. So this day, when 500-700 PTI workers appeared for the demonstration police was prepared to meet any possible condition.

The numbers of policemen deployed at NADRA chowk was higher than last Friday and the entrance to Red Zone was blocked with a container. However, as expected, PTI workers broke all hurdles and entered the Red Zone behind the police lines.

It could also be seen that today PTI workers were also prepared to meet the aggressive blockade as they were carrying baton and sticks apparently for waving the party flags. However, later PTI workers openly used those batons against policemen.

Video footage clearly displayed the baton fight between policemen and PTI workers.
