Criminals in Sindh move an inch closer to execution by special courts

MQM Sindh Karachi

KARACHI – The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has resolved the dispute and federal government appointed the five prosecutors in special courts formed under Protection of Pakistan Ordinance (PPO).

The delay in the appointment had practically kept the PPO courts dysfunctional in Sindh until Tuesday apparently due to a fix between PML-N and PPP governments of federation and Sindh respectively.

The five PPO courts were established in Sindh in Karachi, Mir Pur Khas, Larkana and Hyderabad. However, even after the appointments of prosecutors the PPO courts still needed the special judges to be completely functional.

The names of appointed prosecutors are Salahuddin Sheikh for Mir Pur Khans, Mushtaq Abro for Larkana, Shahid Mehmood for Karachi and Nasir Durrani for Hyderabad.
