QUETTA: Another hearing of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti went without the presence of nominated accused former President General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf and the court only asked the guarantors to ensure his presence in future.
According to the court correspondent from Balochistan’s capital, the court accepted the plea of Musharraf’s legal aides on Monday and granted the exemption from the court hearing.
The lawyers of Musharraf stated that due to his health concern, the former strongman could not arrive in the court.
The local court, however, summoned accused on June 16 once again.
Musharraf is currently struggling to get his name removed from Exit Control List (ECL) in Sindh High Court.
However, a Special Court was constituted in Islamabad which heard the High Treason case against former military strongman.
Musharraf was also summoned by the couple of different courts in three different cases. He was summoned by one Anti-Terrorism Court on April 25 for the hearing of judges detention case. On May 3, he was summoned in Islamabad in Lal Masjid cleric’s murder case. Another ATC in Quetta had summoned him to appear for the hearing of Nawaz Akbar Khan Bugti’s murder.
Musharraf had submitted a plea in the Supreme Court of Pakistan for the removal of his name from ECL.
PakistanTribe reported that Nawaz Sharif only wanted his face saving in the pertaining issue. According to a seniorjournalist and media personality ‘Javed Chaudhry’ that middle way would be removing Musharraf’s name from ECL through a court order.
On April 3, PakistanTribe reported that a bomb went off on the route of the convoy as Musharraf was being shifted from AFIC to his farm house .
