Ali Musa Gilani joins Pervez Musharraf in pursuit of lifting travel ban

Ali Musa Gilani

ISLAMABAD – Ali Musa Gilani s/o former premier of Pakistan has joined former president General (rtd) Pervez Musharraf as he urges the court to remove his name from Exit Control List (ECL).

According to the details, Ali Musa appeared before court on Thursday and requested through his lawyers to get his name removed from travel ban list.

Ali Musa Gilani maintained that he had nothing to do with ephedrine case and his name was included in the ECL without any reason. “I am a Pakistani citizen and want to travel abroad. There was no valid reason to hold me,” he added in the plea.

However, the ECL inclusion of Ali Musa Gilani was not the only trouble for Gilani family. The elder brother Ali Haider Gilani has been abducted by the outlawed militants ever since May 9, 2013.

On April 25, PakistanTribe reported that a video message was released by outlawed militants in which Ali Haider Gilani could be seen chained. The video message was all about that how his family has shown no interest in paying the ransom money. It was also tried to make clear in the message that abductors were never in the control of outlawed TTP, the militant group currently under negotiations with the government.

Earlier, it was believed that government negotiation committee had asked the outlawed Taliban negotiators to pave way for release of non-combatant civilians from the barbaric militants.

However, the outlawed TTP militants made it clear to their negotiators and government that they believe the high profile civilian as ‘combatant militants’.

The innocent civilians in militants custody include the following three high profile men.
